"And they lived a long and happy marriage" Most of the stories are ended like this. But the reality is different and it just exists in fairy tale. According to the National statistical office, 24% of couples end in divorce. Then why many people experience this failure. I think there are 2 main reasons; wrong fantasy and difference in personality.
First many people have their own marriage fantasy. But usually it is too unrealistic to be realized. Most of people overheard about marriage through drama or movie. However these kinds of media just describe the most ideal husband, wife and family. So many couple came to feel that their marriage is the worst.
Next, the most common reason people explain their failure is difference in personality. Two different people who have another lifestyle and experience came to live together, and that is marriage. There are lots of fights and arguments between family who lived more than 20 years together. It is unavoidable and natural to have a fight because of the different personality.
Two people meet, fall in love and marriage is the most wonderful events for them. Although divorce could be the answer, believing and respecting each other might be the better choice.
